Navy Noise

It may seem like I got all these items from the same place but I’m pretty surprised at how well these go together. And then I think to myself, what would I do without Zara, ASOS, and Topshop *sigh* The key to a great monochrome outfit is the textures and patterns each piece creates. So although my top, jacket, and pants are all blue, they all stand on their own as something different. Hope everyone has / is having a great weekend!

Simply Bold

Sometimes the simplest outfit can be the boldest statement. It’s been scorching hot lately and so I just felt like lounging in my super comfy chiffon dress. If some of you have been following my blog for awhile, you may recognize this dress ‘cause I have it in bright yellow too! I feel like the blue and yellow are the least popular colors but they’re the most fun… so why is that?! Without a belt, the silhouette is free flowing and super relaxed. And since the dress is so plain I paired it with a bold statement necklace and some hand accessories to finish off the look. =)

JC Penny April Blogger

Hello everyone! Sorry my blog has been down, apparently the bandwith has run out because so many of you amazing people have been visiting it! Haha, I’m not complaining but I’ll definitely try and fix it for this next month. The images should be up by tomorrow again =)

So a couple weeks ago JC Penny contacted me to ask if I wanted to be their April fashion blogger. I was supposed put together an outfit inspired by my birthstone, the diamond! I was so excited to do this! The outfit I came up with is all blue since blue diamonds are my favorite. The floral skirt was definitely an awesome find from JC Penny and I’m absolutely in love with the print! Everyone at work said I looked so Spring-y in it! hehe.

Bandaged

I always feel a little self conscious when I’m wearing such bright clothes… but that doesn’t prevent me from wearing them! haha. I should’ve taken a picture of the back of this awesome new blue bustier I got from Nasty Gal, it’s got a cool cutout pattern! And I couldn’t resist getting this bandage skirt, I had to at least get one since they’re everywhere now and are so versatile and great for color-blocking! =) I’m always covering up with a blazer so I’m more work appropriate for work. I’m just lucky my work even lets me wear what I do!

Spring Fling

I used to wear pastels so often, but pastel items were nearly impossible to find! Most of my wardrobe was from shopping in Japan! But this Spring, pastels are EVERYWHERE and I’m loving it! I’m definitely having a spring fling with pastels and bright colors! I kind of went crazy with this outfit but wild gets you noticed, right? ;) I really need to get some lighter colored shoes though, especially since my wardrobe is growing with things to match!

Ring Around the Rosie

I love slouchy off-shoulder shirts/sweaters! American Apparel has been making this floral textured sweater/shirt for awhile now and I eyed it for a long while before I purchased it but I’m glad I did! Textured items give the interest of a pattern without being as busy as a pattern.

Blue High-Waisted Pants: American Apparel
Gray Belt: American Apparel
Floral Headband: Gift from my friend Mimi
Brown Satchel: Urban Outfitters
Brown Leather Shoes: American Apparel

Last night after work I went to my friend Mimi’s apartment and we did each other’s nails! Mimi gave me galaxy nails and I gave her colorful diagonal tips! Here are some crappy cell phone pics of them =)

Oh, and just for kicks ‘cause I’m weird…

hahahaha =)
