Silky Smooth

This French Connection button-up is so silky smooth, which makes it the best work shirt! Both comfortable and work-appropriate. I kept my outfit pretty simple today since I didn’t know if I could get a photo of it. I have to test out new photography times & methods since daylight savings has completely screwed up my usually outfit-photographing sessions! Usually my boyfriend would help me take them after work but now it’s pitch black when I get home so I gotta wake up extra early and struggle to do a self-portrait! eesh! Hopefully I’ll get the hang of it…

See You Later, Alligator

It’s been quite the week for me! Wasn’t feel too well at all, and then all work and no play this weekend! I have some catching up to do with posts! So this is an outfit I wore during the week. I’ve been looking for the perfect green blouse to match these alligator-esque pants I have. After quite the failed search, I realized I had this amazing green velveteen bodycon dress that I could double as a top if I folded it up a little for my pants to fit! haha. So alas, the perfect green top =)

Mustardseed

Tobey Macguire came to our office today. I always get so starstruck no matter how much I tell myself not to, haha. So because of this, everyone in the office was looking their Sunday’s best, what a cool change! I think I’m just looking the same as usual though ;)

I’m wearing these great vintage printed trousers I recently go. I’ve really been searching for Miu Miu look-alike prints… I’m dying for a whole printed suit set of theirs! (but alas, I am not made of money…) So although I don’t have a blazer with the same print to go with these wonderful trousers, a simple print with a simple monotoned blouse and cute hair accessory really pulls together a great outfit. I think the key here is really bringing back that mustard yellow on top of my head =)

All-American Girl

How did I end up wearing all American Apparel again? Haha. I wanted to do a sort of monochromatic outfit with one standout print. I’m not sure if it matches the way I wanted it to but it was a nice casual outfit for work =)

Business Edge

Lately I’ve been so obsessed with the layers and layers of textures and colors in designer’s fall collections. It’s too bad it’s so darn hot here! So this is my take on layering in hot weather, taking a sleeveless blouse with a lace crop top over it… it’s the lightest layering possible, right? Paired with these amazing ombre patterned pants plus a pop of red, I’m happy with the blend of colors and patterns.

Business in Pink

PHEW What a week! I am terribly sorry for skipping out on a whole week of outfits! But to be honest I’ve mostly been going to work in nearly PJs since it’s just been way too hectic & stressful to plan outfits! I wore this outfit yesterday. A simple business casual look with a bit of color and florals. =)

Business Print Mixing

For days when I know I’m going to be in important meetings at work I’m more conscious of what I’m wearing. So today I wore a more business outfit… but I’m not going to compromise my style! I still had fun with some print mixing! I love the latest trends of print mismatching… but I don’t think I’m daring enough to take those risks. For some reason, I never thing mismatching will work but designers make it work so well! I think a lot of it has to do with SO MUCH mismatching that it all just… matches magically? Who knows, I’ll have to experiment more in the future!
