Colorful Polka Flowers Before New York

I’m off to New York tomorrow!!!!! So excited! I don’t know if I’ll have the chance to update my blog during the week but I’ll be on Twitter & Pinterest as much as I can! =) How many of you have been to New York or live in New York? Any suggestions on places to go?

So this outfit I actually wore on Friday to work. I love all the different colors on this cardigan, they go together surprisingly well. And I know I wore this skirt at the beginning of the week but I couldn’t help wearing it again! I just love the color of it and  it went with my cardigan perfectly!

There is a pretty funny & embarrassing story that goes with the orange dress I’m wearing though… I actually was wearing a pink crop top with this skirt the morning I went to work… the problem was I had forgotten to wear shorts under my totally see through chiffon skirt!!! I was SO EMBARRASSED! I wrapped the sweater around my waist to cover my butt, used my purse to cover the front of me, and ran to Walgreens to find some shorts! Surprisingly out of the two things they had available, they had the perfect colored dress there to match my outfit! I bought it and wore it… phew saved by the dress! And I think I’ll actually be wearing it more often than this once! =)

Bandaged

I always feel a little self conscious when I’m wearing such bright clothes… but that doesn’t prevent me from wearing them! haha. I should’ve taken a picture of the back of this awesome new blue bustier I got from Nasty Gal, it’s got a cool cutout pattern! And I couldn’t resist getting this bandage skirt, I had to at least get one since they’re everywhere now and are so versatile and great for color-blocking! =) I’m always covering up with a blazer so I’m more work appropriate for work. I’m just lucky my work even lets me wear what I do!
