In Another Life
Happy belated Thanksgiving to all you Americans! I just got back from a lovely vacation up in Sacramento with my boyfriend’s family (they are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G btw). It’s been a crazy break though, with a career change, my future plans have changed dramatically! In the greatest way imaginable though… Starting in January my boyfriend and I are fulfilling our dream to travel for awhile. 3 Months in Europe, starting with my dream destination, Ireland! Ohhhh I can’t wait! I’ve gotta figure out my blog entries though because I would hate to have a long hiatus. Perhaps I can blog about my travels if everyone is interested? =)
Anyway, this outfit was pretty hastily put together at the last minute. Really, I’m just excited to wear this hat. I feel like in another life I was Zorro in this hat, haha. Which, by the way, I’ve met Antonio Banderes and can confidently say he is just as rad as you think he is.

‘Red’y for Fall
I always forget that Southern California Autumns are more like summers! The heat is dreadful, I’m ready for Fall!

All-American Girl
How did I end up wearing all American Apparel again? Haha. I wanted to do a sort of monochromatic outfit with one standout print. I’m not sure if it matches the way I wanted it to but it was a nice casual outfit for work =)

My Tastes Are Finally In?
First pastels are in, and now victorian-era embroidery is one of the new trends this season? It’s like all the things I’ve been hoping to become “in”… ARE NOW! How exciting! These are just some spreads that were in Marie Claire & Harper’s Bazaar

Can you believe Dolce & Gabbana is launching a kid’s line too? I work in the kid’s fashion industry so this is super exciting news!! =)

I NEED ALL OF IT!!! AHHHHHH!!
Sorry this isn’t a outfit post but I’ve been reorganizing my entire closet as my boyfriend is out of town until next month. I’ve got so many exciting outfits to plan and share with you all! (Oh and I have to figure out how to shoot my own outfit photos!)
Vintage Flowers
If some of you have been following me for awhile you’ll remember this floral print that I wore awhile ago… except it was a skirt! This blazer is 2/3 pieces from a whole set I got at Goodwill! The colors are so easy to work with and made it incredibly easy to show off my new Sam Edelman booties I got for only $99! I wore some chiffon trim socks with it to add a small bit of youthfulness to the outfit. You’d be surprised at how the outfit changes without them! (Oh and FYI if you have short legs and big calves like I do it’s usually bad to wear socks that make your legs look stubbier but with heels I think it works!)

Hello Summer, Are You There?
I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend! Three-day weekends are always a treat, but most importantly the sales! My inbox was flooded with sales and coupons! I didn’t really take advantage of them like I should have because I’m anticipating my trip to NY this next coming week but it’s worth the trade off! Today was pretty hot, and I’m wondering when summer is going to officially start. Of course in Los Angeles, “summer days” come during all seasons of the year, haha. I can’t honestly say that Summer is my favorite season but I love the atmosphere of happy vacationers. This will be my first summer without a vacation in awhile now… welcome, Cindy, to the real world without the safety net of school! So anyways, the warm but breezy weather today called for some light pastels and a flowy skirt. I wore my very first Wildfox purchase—a bracelet, because I can’t bring myself to buy any of their ridiculously expensive clothing… but I love their collection!

Sunny Skies & Floral Pastures
What’s this “festival look” that all these online stores are defining? Has this always been a thing and I just didn’t get the memo until this year? And can I wear a “festival look” when there are no festivals going on? I’m just going to have a festival at my workplace then! So I finally made the floral headband I’ve been dreaming about. It’s so big and loud and poofy and I love it! The blue matches perfectly with this patterned blazer I got in one of my Goodwill finds (it has a matching shirt and skirt too, oh my!) I didn’t want blue to overtake the entire outfit though… so I threw in some yellow lipstick! I’m really loving the OCC lip tars lately! The best part about them is that they don’t taste like lipstick! Am I the only person who HATES the taste of normal lipstick? FYI if you’re like me and are trying to find not so gross tasting lipstick I would get OCC lip tars or NARS lipsticks / jumbo lip pencils. I swear by these two brands’ lip products =)

Casual Wednesday
I love my nude maxi skirt! It matches almost anything and it’s subtle, unlike pure white, which can be a little too bright and loud at times. This outfit is my go to casual outfit for a comfortable day when the whether is slightly on the hotter side. I played around with a braid swept over my forehead… I think I could’ve done a better job, haha. Maybe it’s too boho for this look?

Island Vacation
I’ve been searching forever to try and find a really great flora/island print pant! I love the colors in these pants I’m wearing today =) Hope I didn’t over-accessorize this look though… my boyfriend says I look like a drug lord’s wife, haha. I think especially since I’m wearing my Gucci sunglasses. (they’re prescription!) Anyways, love the bright colors in this look although I’m not sure it fits my personality.

Why not Blue?
Today I’m trying out OCC Lip Tars for the first time! I love all the colors they offer and I’ve decided I wanted to be more colorful with my lip colors! Why not wear blue lips?! It’s so fun and it’s a great kick of color for my outfit! Loving the cutout shoulders on my dress, and in general this season!
