Oh My Goth!
Is purple not really my color? I think I accidentally gothed myself out with this mesh dress-turned-top. Oh well! Mesh, chiffon, and anything see-through is becoming more and more a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. Will the trend ever die down? I hope not!
Oh and excuse my poor attempt and Angelina Jolie’s sexy leg pose—I wasn’t really trying to be sexy, I just had to show off my ombre tights! ;)

Dweeb in Tokyo
Hello again! I’m back from the dead! My boyfriend and I have finally come back from our months of backpacking through Europe and we couldn’t have had more fun! We also made a surprise trip to Tokyo due to a crazy stroke of cheap plane ticket luck!
If you want to see some of my trip photos, I updated my Instagram (@unravelingsky) pretty thoroughly throughout our trip =)
After months of wonderful traveling memories, it still feels good to be home. I spent the first couple of days enjoying good ole Los Angeles weather, but I’m back to missing the cold, haha! I’d rather freeze than sweat any day!
These photos were from a beautiful day in Tokyo when we visited the Imperial Palace. We were lucky enough to be in Tokyo during the ONLY 2 week period in the whole year that the sakuras bloom! It was absolutely gorgeous!!
Also, I was super excited about my bear ears beanie!!! =D

Hey there palace kitty! =^.^=

being silly~

Summer School Girl
School’s out for summer (at least for those of you still attending school, that is) but I’m still going to rock the school girl bow tie year long. I actually have been really wanting one of these ties and finally found one on my trip to New York at a small Japanese-owned vintage store. This boater hat is also a Japanese trend and I’ve been meaning to wear it more often. It actually doesn’t protect my eyes from the sun at all but a cute boater had adds the cherry on top of a cute outfit, don’t you think?

All the World is a Garden
Today’s look is titled after a quote from The Secret Garden movie, my favorite movie of all time! <3 (I should read the book, I know ^__^;;)
I love florals! It’s probably the only consistent print I’ve been in love with through all my style changes over the years. Florals are classic and I don’t think they’ll ever really not be “in.” With this outfit, my main floral pattern was my leggings and so I didn’t want to make it too busy on top… but I didn’t want it to be too plain either! So I pinned on a brooch I handmade two summers ago. I love wearing handmade things because they’re so unique and add so much to an oufit! =)
