Pastel Kittens

Recently I’ve reawaken my love for pastels (in reality it never died). I fell in love with these UNIF shorts that had a combo of my favorite pastels! I had to print an amazing cat shirt to go along with it, and thus I have myself a pastel kitten look! I pushed the look even further with these amazing lilac creepers that I got for a steal recently… and then put on my lacy thigh highs! With recent garter + thigh high trends, especially with those oh-so-popular garter leggings, I still couldn’t help questioning, were these socks pushing it too far? Nevermind, I love them, so who cares?!

All-American Girl

How did I end up wearing all American Apparel again? Haha. I wanted to do a sort of monochromatic outfit with one standout print. I’m not sure if it matches the way I wanted it to but it was a nice casual outfit for work =)

All Clothes American Apparel / Heels by Jeffrey Campbell / Purse by B.Makowsky

Bleeding Pink

With a beautiful statement skirt like this, I needed nothing but to match it with black everything so the pink color could stand out. With a lace bodysuit to add some pattern/texture and topped with simple jewelry and a hot, I’m ready to go!

Business in Pink

PHEW What a week! I am terribly sorry for skipping out on a whole week of outfits! But to be honest I’ve mostly been going to work in nearly PJs since it’s just been way too hectic & stressful to plan outfits! I wore this outfit yesterday. A simple business casual look with a bit of color and florals. =)

Floral Blazer from Zara / Pink Chiffon Top, Blue High Waisted Pants, & black loafer heels from American Apparel

Lavender Love

I always feel like I’m supposed to be slightly more proper or slightly softer spoken when wearing pastels, haha. I love wearing lavender and mint! My favorite color combo for sure! Even my lips are lavender today! =) I haven’t worn this chiffon bolero in so long… it’s from a Japanese brand I’ve been obsessed with (for years) called Angelic Pretty. Japanese street fashion is one of god’s gift to mankind—seriously! haha.

I took some photos without my glasses since I think it fits the outfit more but I also took some with my glasses because I feel like I look so odd without them… like my face is missing a body part, haha.

National Pink Day

Today is National Pink Day! Usually I don’t mix shades of the same color too often without added texture, but I think the pink of the shirt, pants, and belt go really well together! A casual day, but a fun & pink one too! =)

Blouse, Belt, and Pants from American Apparel / Black Suede bag from Akira Chicago

Pastel Passion

I love the softness of the baby pink and mint green. The knitted print on this American Apparel skirt is subtle but super cute! But with such a simple outfit I overloaded on accessories to make up for it. In the end I have a casual outfit that’s a little dressier with some rockin’ heels! These heels could seriously be a weapon! I wonder if you could pass through airport security in them? haha.

Bandaged

I always feel a little self conscious when I’m wearing such bright clothes… but that doesn’t prevent me from wearing them! haha. I should’ve taken a picture of the back of this awesome new blue bustier I got from Nasty Gal, it’s got a cool cutout pattern! And I couldn’t resist getting this bandage skirt, I had to at least get one since they’re everywhere now and are so versatile and great for color-blocking! =) I’m always covering up with a blazer so I’m more work appropriate for work. I’m just lucky my work even lets me wear what I do!

Spring Fling

I used to wear pastels so often, but pastel items were nearly impossible to find! Most of my wardrobe was from shopping in Japan! But this Spring, pastels are EVERYWHERE and I’m loving it! I’m definitely having a spring fling with pastels and bright colors! I kind of went crazy with this outfit but wild gets you noticed, right? ;) I really need to get some lighter colored shoes though, especially since my wardrobe is growing with things to match!

Ring Around the Rosie

I love slouchy off-shoulder shirts/sweaters! American Apparel has been making this floral textured sweater/shirt for awhile now and I eyed it for a long while before I purchased it but I’m glad I did! Textured items give the interest of a pattern without being as busy as a pattern.

Pink Floral-Textured Sweater: American Apparel
Blue High-Waisted Pants: American Apparel
Gray Belt: American Apparel
Floral Headband: Gift from my friend Mimi
Brown Satchel: Urban Outfitters
Brown Leather Shoes: American Apparel

Last night after work I went to my friend Mimi’s apartment and we did each other’s nails! Mimi gave me galaxy nails and I gave her colorful diagonal tips! Here are some crappy cell phone pics of them =)

Oh, and just for kicks ‘cause I’m weird…

hahahaha =)
